A lot of us set goals for ourselves, but we do not make them SMART. Our goal setting needs to be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely. If your goal is not specific enough you are sure to lose focus and get steered away from what was important to you. Be sure to answer all the WHAT, WHY and HOW questions. Saying 'I want to lose weight or be healthier' is not specific enough. Give yourself set details, for example, 'I want to lose 3 inches from my stomach region'. The more detailed you are the better your focus will be.
