Carrot Juice and Almond Milk

I can remember when I was young, my mother used to chase me around the house with a glass of freshly juiced carrot juice. I would scream bloody murder, scrunch up my face, hold my nose and act like it was the most disgusting thing I had ever tasted in my life. And to me, at that point, it was. Oh, to be a kid again!!

As I get older, I realize the benefits of carrot juice and now I juice for myself, adding a twist to it now and then. A very easy combination that you can try is Carrot Juice and Almond Milk (using unsweetened Almond Milk). This is a great shake that you can use in the morning with your breakfast or in the evening after a long day. It is very easy to prepare and tastes fantastic. The list of benefits includes promoting heart health, improving skin, helping in bone health and development and so much more.

The directions are very easy to follow:

Step One: Wash and clean carrot.

Step Two: Put them through a juicer to extract the juice.

Step Three: Pour Almond Milk into a glass.

Step Four: Add an equal amount of Carrot Juice (this amount can vary depending on your preference).

Step Five: Mix and enjoy.

What do you know about pomegranates? Have you tried them? Do you enjoy them? Well, a pomegranate is a fruit with pulpy juicy seeds on the inside and are usually the size of oranges. The seeds of the pomegranate can be eaten or used in entrees and desserts. The juice from the pomegranate can be used for marinades and dressings. This multipurpose fruit is a rich source of Vitamin C, folic acid and antioxidants. Antioxidants are great additives in the fight against diseases. For this reason, you may have noticed an array of pomegranate juice (Pom Juice) in your nearby supermarket. This can be helpful to consume at work or on the go but you can also just peel and eat and still receive the added benefits.
So if you have not ventured into try one, take a step out and buy one today. You may be glad you did!

The hardest thing on any health journey is sticking to the routine when you're doing it alone. We all need that extra encouragement from our friends, and more so from our family, since we are with them everyday. The easiest way to be successful is to incorporate them into the planning, preparation and even consuming of healthier meal options. Parents, it is important to start kids early on making healthy choices. This will not only set them on the right track for adulthood but also keep you on the right track as well. This great YouTube video shows how a ordinary mom is able to get her kids to love vegetables by introducing them to juicing.

So you don't feel thirsty? You still need to drink water regardless. Water is necessary even if you're trying to lose weight or simply stay healthy. More than half of your weight is water. It's necessary for a variety of organ functions and digestion. If you don't like to drink water, you can get it through fruits, vegetables, or non-caloric beverages or try flavoring your water with lemon or lime juice. So.. what are you waiting for... drink up!r.
