Almonds are a great choice for your mid-morning or afternoon snack. They provide the much needed magnesium that you require daily, plus they are rich in potassium, manganese, copper, vitamin E , selenium, and calcium. And in case you didn't know, a quarter cup of almonds has almost as much calcium as a quarter cup of milk. So go ahead and grab about one handful of almonds, and enjoy them with your favorite fruit, for a smart and healthy addition to your meal plan.

Yesturday we spoke about what to do when you are in a rush and crunched for time. But today we will focus on preparation. Preparation is the key to success in all aspects of life. Everyone's life gets crazy and fast paced every so often (some more that others). The most prepared individuals brown bag it at lunch and other meals depending on if they will be away from home. Bringing a cooler or lunch bag filled with nutritious snack, will help you to avoid relying on vending machines or fast food for your meals and snacks. Pack fruits, single serving beverages, salads, healthy meals, fresh vegetables (already cut and ready to eat), crackers, plain popcorn, pretzels or small boxes of cereal. Be creative with your choices and meal times will be a breeze!
