Get and keep your waist trim. Studies have shown that one benefit of a trim waistline is a reduced risk for heart disease. You will be putting yourself at higher risk for a heart attack if you allow fat around your waist. Trim your waistline by reducing your total calorie intake. Increase your intake of fruits and vegetables packed with fiber. Keep up with exercise. Cardiovascular exercise can also trim your waistline and keep your heart healthy.
